Ropka Valley

Ropka Valley

Located at the heart of the western Lower Beskid, at the foot of the Ostry Wierch and Lackowa mountains, among hills, surrounded by fir and beech forests, separated from the hustle and bustle, it seems almost asleep. Long ago it was a large village with more than 70 farms. During the operation "Vistula" in 1947 the inhabitants were displaced. An old cemetery remains after the old way of life, while the Eastern orthodox church was transferred to the Skansen in Sanok. Today Ropki consists of a few agro-tourist farms, visited by lovers of silence, wandering around the forests, mushroom pickers and observers of the wild nature. This is an ideal place for an active rest, while the omnipresent tranquillity disposes towards calm and reverie. We invite you to us, to Manichatki.
